Parts for cars of this model year have recently entered the rare category. Items like tail lights are discontinued, and only used products are available.
You hardly see them running on the roads in Japan anymore, but people overseas tend to drive their cars for a long time, so inquiries for cars of this model year come in quite frequently.
I have stopped selling on eBay, but recently I only sell when an inquiry comes in. I am thinking of posting about how I ship them this time. In the case of eBay, most Japanese people operate on drop-shipping, reusing images from Yahoo! Auctions and Mercari, thriving on resale.
eBay users do not use Yahoo! Auctions or Mercari, so they buy at high prices, which is why this business model works. What is troublesome is that when an item sells on eBay via Yahoo! Auctions resale, the reseller acquires the images, making it look original.
It is easy to spot whether someone is a reseller by asking if they can ship within 2 days, or 3 days at the longest. If they have the inventory on hand, they should be able to ship in about 3 days.I cannot trade directly with FedEx either, so going through a domestic courier causes a one-day lag. Even considering time differences, it takes about 24 to 36 hours for the tracking number to be reflected, even if picked up on the same day. Therefore, not being able to ship within 3 days is likely drop-shipping.
Now, since I am using FedEx, I will pack it ignoring the appearance.

I will take pictures before shipping. These are images of the stock items, but the process is the same.I will take pictures to show there are no cracks or chips. Without these, you cannot even start a conversation about compensation.

After taking the photos, I usually keep them in stock in this condition.

I will start packing.

Up to this point is normal. Buyee, ZenMarket, and others charge fees from here on.

I want to make it as small as possible, so I will double the corners and wrap it once.

Add the corners once more.

Even though it’s a different box, I will wrap the whole thing in cardboard once more like this. This makes it eligible for FedEx’s $100 coverage.

Anyway, since I am making the corners thick, I am folding them to increase strength.

Finally, it needs to be shaped into a square, so I tidy it up, put on a fragile sticker, take a picture, send all of them to the buyer, have it picked up, and once it is safely delivered, the transaction is complete.
